P.A. Day payments will be withdrawn on the Monday of the bi-weekly period the P.A. Day falls.

There are seven P.A. days planned for each school board during the 2016/2017 school year.

Due to the level of planning required to coordinate P.A. Days for all the PLASP children, we request that parents commit to having their child attend all the P.A. Days. This ensures that parents and children requiring care during P.A. Days receive the care they need.

School Age children visit a variety of venues including movie theatres, community centres, and exciting child-friendly places like Chuck E Cheese, the Ontario Science Centre, the Toronto Zoo, and Medieval Times. There are also scheduled activities such as bowling and other enrichment activities.

Yes, breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided for the day, and are included in the fee.

There are no extra costs; everything your child needs for the day is included in the price.

The staff to child ratio for school age children during P.A. Day trips is 1 to 12.

If the school is open, PLASP will operate the P.A. Day Program on-site. Children will be able to attend the P.A. Day Program from 7:30am until 6:00pm at the school. If the school is closed, PLASP will not operate the P.A. Day Program. Parents will receive a phone call from program staff by 7:00am to notify them of the closure.

Yes, if there is room on the bus and at the venue, parent volunteers are welcome. Speak to the Program Director at your child’s school if you are interested in volunteering.
